ABOUT
David Uricoli is the Founder and President of UCI and has been a leader in the corporate social responsibility industry for over twenty eight years. “I proudly started at Polo Ralph Lauren in 1988 just as the company was expanding product and starting new brands. I became a leader in their product development and sourcing efforts.”
With extensive product and sourcing knowledge that includes facility analysis, as well as product development, product engineering, and production management, David developed the Global Human Rights Compliance department which grew into the Global Citizenship department. The department became the company’s compass for their ethical and socially responsible global production ecosystems.
David has collaborated with an extensive network of internal corporate departments, from designers through supply chain, and externally with experts, advocates, investors, suppliers, and manufacturers to establish best practices, immediate and long-term goals, and the pathways to achieve them. His leadership of goal development includes vendor management goals, production metrics, material traceability, and circular targets.
From material traceability and certifications to global citizenship and human rights initiatives, I not only positioned the company as a pioneer of ethical sourcing, production, and labor, but also influenced changes and advances across the global apparel industry by strengthening relationships, forging trust, and building understanding to drive progresses and results as a partner in change.
